In the heart of Serra dos Órgãos National Park lies the most beautiful lookout point in the Serra dos Órgãos. From there, you can take in all the beauty and grandeur of the Serra dos Órgãos, the range of jagged mountains that gave the park its name.
The place is simply a natural marvel—and, above all, a geological one! Facing the majestic Serra dos Órgãos, it offers views of rocky cliffs approximately 500 m high, followed by Pedra do Garrafão, Agulha do Diabo, São João, Santo Antônio, Cabeça de Peixe, Dedo de Deus, Dedo de Nossa Senhora, and Escalavrado. Below, a valley nearly 300 meters deep—a colossal abyss from which rises the Coroa do Frade, one of the park’s most beautiful mountains, standing at an altitude of 1,500 meters.
We'll hike up to the Castelos do Açú, a climb about 8 km long, and then continue on toward the Portals of Hercules.

Level: Difficult – Physical fitness required

DEPARTURE TIME: 4:30 a.m.

Note: After leaving the meeting point, we always stop at a convenient location so participants can have coffee, use the restroom, etc. We do the same on the way back.

– A backpack large enough for your belongings;
– Hiking clothing
– 2.0 liters of beverages – sports drinks, water, juice;
– Cereal bars, cookies, sandwiches;
– Hiking shoes;
– Sunglasses, hat, or cap;
– Insect repellent and sunscreen;
– First aid kit; (Personal Medication)
– Change of clothes, flip-flops; (Leave on the bus)
– Parka, anorak;
– Trash bag;
– Headlamp (Required)
