At approximately 30 km long, the Petrópolis–Teresópolis Crossing is considered one of the most beautiful hikes in Brazil!
The ideal time to complete this crossing is three (3) days, during which you’ll be able to experience all the beauty of this route at a leisurely pace while pushing yourself.
This event is intended solely for those who are already familiar with its beauty and its obstacles and want to take on this challenge.
✔ NOTE: This is a DIFFICULT hike; MOUNTAIN gear is required!

➙ HIKE DIFFICULTY: Challenging with Natural Obstacles.
This hike requires a high level of physical fitness, with sections through a gorge, a via ferrata, and
some sections of rock climbing.
➙ FEATURES: A hike with mountaineering-style features, covering medium to long distances, with some inclines exceeding 45° along the route. We won’t be running, but we’ll maintain a steady pace.
➙ MAXIMUM ALTITUDE: 2,275 meters (Pedra do Sino)
➙ MINIMUM AGE: 16 years old
➙ DATE: June 15, 2024 – Saturday
➙ TOTAL DISTANCE: Approximately 30 km
➙ MEETING POINT: Afonso Pena Square (Tijuca – Next to the Military Police booth)
➙ DEPARTURE TIME: 4:00 a.m., with departure at 4:15 a.m. (sharp)

– A backpack large enough for your belongings;
– Pants (trekking), long-sleeved shirt (recommended);
– Aluminum emergency tent;
– 2.0 liters of beverages—sports drinks, water, juice;
– Cereal bars, cookies, sandwiches;
– Hiking shoes;
– Sunglasses, hat, or cap;
– Insect repellent and sunscreen;
– First aid kit;
– Change of clothes, flip-flops (Leave them in the vehicle);
– Swimwear;
– Parka, anorak;
– Trash bag;
– Flashlight;
– Gloves.
