Pedra da Gávea, at an elevation of 842 meters, is considered the largest seaside rock formation on the planet. In addition to its breathtaking panoramic view, the mountain sparks curiosity with its history, legends, and the famous face carved into the rock.

The ascent via Via Carrasqueira is the classic route and offers one of the most incredible mountaineering experiences in Rio de Janeiro.
